Our 33 Year History in Spruce Grove
Since 1990 EconoLube has been servicing Spruce Grove with everything we have to offer. Undeniably, we provide great value, an excellent customer experience and exceptional attention to detail. Born and raised right here. EconoLube is a multi-generation, family-run business. The Harpe family is involved in every aspect of our business. From management and marketing, to operations and even working on the vehicles ourselves. As a result, we aren’t simply sitting back and collecting a profit. Our family is deeply invested and connected to our customers and community.
The first EconoLube shop opened in 1990 offering high quality oil changes. Almost two decades later, keeping with the same standards, our second location opened in 2007. Following this expansion, in 2019, we added EconoLube Plus. This is when we began offering tire services, including new tire sales at our original shop.
Most recently, in 2021, we launched our full-service mechanical repair shop. With this addition, our local family owned shop became equipped to handle all of your standard automotive needs.
Our vision for what a mechanic can mean to Spruce Grove
Big things are coming to EconoLube this year (2023). These changes include our new, state of the art Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) facility. (the only one of its kind in Parkland)
Our family believes that Spruce Grove deserves the best, and we will never stop working to provide it.
It matters enormously to us that our neighbours have a mechanic they can really trust.
It matters to us that people can get a quality oil change without being upsold or overcharged.

Community service and connection to local non profits and youth programs has always been a huge part of our commitment to Spruce Grove. We are proud to serve this area and will be for a long time to come.

Community
EconoLube prides itself in giving back to the community. Over the years we have supported a great many local sports teams including: Parkland Predators Football, Spruce Grove Minor hockey, the Saints hockey team, and Outlaws lacrosse.
We also support the Kinettes Christmas Hampers, Living Waters Christian Academy’s annual missions trips to Guatemala, the Spruce Grove Composite High School drama program, STARS Air Ambulance, the Stony Plain Agricultural Society, Spruce Grove Fish and Game Association, the Spruce Grove Chamber, Parkland School Division supporting bus safety, the Spirit of Caring golf tournament, and many fundraising campaigns and events. EconoLube is passionate about its community and seeing it thrive.
Environment
EconoLube is no longer the automotive recycling centre for the County of Parkland. If you would like to recycle oil and antifreeze, oil filters, and plastic containers please visit your local municipal government’s website to inquire about where to recycle these items.
