Feeding 300 Parkland County students weekly.
Working with Parkland School Division (PSD) in support of its school lunch program, Rotary Club of Spruce Grove and their partners gather food resources and then meet twice weekly at St. Andrew’s United Church in Spruce Grove, using the kitchen, and a separate pantry space, for their Brown Bag Lunch Program and their Food Rescue Program.
The Brown Bag Lunch Program is prepared for school children as identified by their school communities, and consists of a fresh sandwich, a piece of fruit, a juice box and a granola bar. These lunches are delivered to local schools twice per week.
“This is why I love my job” ~Paul Harpe
We always love working with Rotary Club of Spruce Grove.
They are constantly at work in our city making a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable community members.
Recently we ran a fundraising event and asked our community to support their work in PSD school and you stepped up.
We are so grateful to our EconoLube customers who contributed $760 to provide lunches for kids in our area.
Take a minute or two and visit these local heroes online.
“It’s through the amazing generosity and work of people in our community that make these programs [PSD Lunch Programs] possible.”
